I came across this the other day doing some research on 200-4R Tranny's. I don't know if it's been posted before or if it is common knowledge but I figured I'd share. Jim

I have a gear vendors overdrive unit and a turbo 400. I've been thinking about just having a built 200r4 built instead. I have a 496 with 700-750 hp/tq. From what I've read, you can have these 200's built to handle that sort of power. Is there alot of options for a stall converter? IE, I want to custom order a stall for my specific truck weight and intended driving. Are there shops that out there that can build one for me?

Don't know for sure if they build for that much power, but certainly worth a look and/or phone call. p.s. I would post the link but I can't figure out how with this windows 8.....hate it!

The 2004r is a great transmition , art car at California performance transmition is the guy you want to talk to , and i highly sugest ordering from him , just a side note i had a huges converter destruct in a 2004r , had to have the whole trany gone thru ,That was behind a 460 ft lb 383 engine ,,, stick with b @ m or art car for a converter , at 700 ft lbs i would get the whole thing built by art car and ask about the "constant presure valve body"
