Disk convertion part list

Hey guys! im in need of some help developing my Part list for a disk brake swap.
I currently have a Bone stock 64 c10 1/2 ton chassis, with drums all the way around.

What junkyard parts are compatible with my front suspension?

NOTE:swaping in a whole cross member set is NOT an option for me.

ill be buying new rotors, bearings, lines and such but as far as spindles what can i use?

what power brake set up will bolt in to my truck?

Hitting up the salvage yard tomorrow so All help and advise is Greatly Appreciated.

Re: Disk convertion part list

swapping the k member isnt an option?

Then you need to be looking at the info requarding swapping the upper and lower control arms.
im about to do the same thing on a 65 possibly. if you get 86 front parts they will swap out. you can bolt it all on the 64 k memeber. however you need to use the 86 steering rods as well. Good chance to upgrade to power steering box.

Re: Disk convertion part list

I found an 82 chevy 1/2 ton deisel in the local pull and save. The rotors are thick and smooth and it has hydro boost brakes. It will cost around $75 for the rotors, calipers and complete hydro set up. I will probably replace the seals and bearings and a new MC since the cap has been off for who knows how long. Going that route will save me at least $200. I'm totally rebuilding the front end of my 66 and switching to 5 lug power disc. I have almost all the parts now just waiting to get the control arm shafts and spindles. Im going with 2 inch springs and 2 1/2 inch spindles while I'm at it.
