4.5 front 6 rear drop need tire info

Hey guys I'm sure there are countless threads on this about tire size and drops and all that stuff. What I have here is a 71 fleetside that I'm lowering 4.5 front 6 rear and I have a set of rally's that I want to use for the time being they are 15/8 and would like a good tire size to run that will fill in the wheel well but not scrub pics of drops and tire configurations would be much appreciated

Heres a shot of mine with a 4.5/6 drop with 275/60/15 tires on 8" rallies. No rubbing at all

Are you running with a cnotch? Any issues or mods with bump stops or bottoming out?

Re: 4.5 front 6 rear drop need tire info

I completely agree on the 275/60/15. It will look great on 8"s.

IMO, unless you're going to be hauling a trailer or a load of gravel or something in the bed of your truck at 6" drop there's no need to CNotch. 7-8" (?) Then yes .. I'm sure there are other opinions on the notch, but .. just voicing mine.

Re: 4.5 front 6 rear drop need tire info

Mine is notched and has never bottomed out yet. I drove it for a while without a notch, and would bottom out from time to time. I think every truck is a little different. Many guys run this drop with no notch and its fine. Might have a lot to do with the roads in your area. Ours are not the best to say the least.
