FOUND! Phillips Rough Service LED Bulb
60W equivalent, burns for 18,000 hours-virtually no heat. 800 lumens and cost $1.26 to burn it a year. Available only at Pep Boys. A welcome addition to any drop light.

Re: FOUND! Phillips Rough Service LED Bulb
They are called drop lights because when you drop them, no matter what bulb, they burn out? Or because you drop them on your arm and they burn your skin?
I'll have to look for an LED to put in mine either way. Paul

Re: FOUND! Phillips Rough Service LED Bulb
I have been putting compact flouresents in mine for a couple of years. Light is good, they don't burn out when you drop them and best of all when the light falls down on your arm while your hand is in a spot that will take what seems like forever to get out of you don't get branded by the housing.
