welcome, that looks like a really nice start for a truck project. What's the master plan?

I'm also from the Los Angeles area and I must tell you that is one sweet deal to get a truck in that condition in the So. Cal area. Very nice.

Re: New Guy from LA, 58 Apache
Hey Bud, nice to see your truck. Bam is right, $300 for that is FREEEE! Outstanding deal.
"Lay frame" - So, you're going with IFS? Cause in case you don't know you can't do that with a straight axle. Have you researched enough yet to know your options? Mustang II set ups, C4 Vette via Flat Out Engineering components, Jag IFS transplant, Scott's, No Limit Wide Ride IFS, Porterbuilt bolt on, etc, etc. Keep the posts coming with pictures. A lot of knowledgeable guys here. Best, Dan

The truck is looking pretty nice! I bet that bed wasn't too easy to find was it? It sure would be like finding a needle in a hat stack here.

Re: New Guy from LA, 58 Apache
Looking great! Love the Old School 3 carb set on up the small block and the stance! What are you running for suspension? I did a Camaro clip and a Airbag 4-Link on mine.

Re: New Guy from LA, 58 Apache
If you end up keeping the I-beam front axle, you could look at how I did a disc brake conversion on the cheap: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=802875
