My next project

I found this truck on Craigslist and picked it up for 275.00 Build threadhttp://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=626605

It is/was a 70 3/4 ton, leaf spring truck. It came w/ a title,protecto-plate,build sheet and theres still the remains of the build sheet under the seat springs although most of it is gone. And some past paperwork/receipts of work done although most of the things worked on are gone.

No motor, tranny, rear or leafs, Most of the interior is intact except the dash is gone. I found the radio delete in the glovebox. Took the radio out since it was just dangling in there anyway. It has solid doors although they have speakers in them. Fenders need a little work. The cab needs some floor repair, kick panel, rocker and cab corners, and outer front supports. Over the windshield is solid.

It came w/a good radiator support and radiator(new 3 core), inner fenders too. These parts look to have been partially blasted and primed.

This cab and front clip will go on a swb chassis that I'm getting from another board member along w/a step side bed from another.

I'll start this project after project underhaulin moves to Knoxville for the final chapter.

Re: My next project

That was not only a good deal but a good save. It is in the right hands now for sure and I know someone who can help you with a cluster when you get to that point

See you next Saturday Chuck,
Tom

Re: My next project

Great find/price I notice your pass. kick panel has the same dimples mine had. Wonder what those are from. I thought maybe a trash can or fire extinguisher? But both yours and mine were painted over.

I thought all those dimples were actually spot welds from the factory.

I agree with Rusbuilt on the dimples. They are spot welds.

you should've stopped. His family has been wanting him to sell it. He has a nice nova too but it's not for sale.

Re: My next project

Nice find. Glad I don't hit CL as often as I used to or I would've had to explain why that was sitting in the garage.
