Progress: Body Shop 101
Finally made a little progress on the cab after taking a break for awhile.

1971 C10 Stepside. LSx 6.0 with BTR Stage IV, Speed Engineering Headers, 4L80e transmission w/3200 Circle-D Stall. 3.73. Posi. Purchased this truck when I was 17. I started the rebuild (or take apart) in 1993. I have drug it around all over the country in pieces. Finally back on the road in 2021. "I can't complain, but sometimes I still do. Life's been good to me so far." |

open the door
and peek inside....lots left to do. Floor is just tacked into place at this point...off to do the other side..

No thanks! This rocker was such a pain in the butt. Lost Wages helped me because there was no way I could squeeze the cab back together and tack the rocker at the same time. It was a bear. The drivers side went right in last night though....
I did the other side in a little different order and it seems to be much better than how I did the passenger side... Good luck!

Speaking of taking a break, I've been on a "break" since mid April. Man, I really need to get back to it. Plus, Im using my new wheels as night stands, and my girlfriend hates it. I guess 20 inch billet wheels dont go with the decor too well.

What order did you weld the pieces in on either side? My drivers side went smooth but the passenger side is being a biotch!!

On the passenger side I did it this way:
Lower front pillar Kick Panel Front Floor Pan Rear Floor Support Rear Lower Door Pillar Rear Floor Pan Cab Corner Rocker Front Floor Support On the drivers I have done Lower Front Pillar Kick Panel Front Floor Pan Rear Floor Support Rear Lower Door Pillar Rocker Rear Floor Pan Cab Corner Front Floor Support
