My first knee knocker in over 10 years

I usually steer clear of the 60-63 trucks as I don't have many parts for them but I couldn't turn this one down. I scored it for a G- note and will get it running. I don't mind doing the mechanicals and will give me a break from body work, had to clean it before the wife saw it, has been sitting since 02.

The engine appears to be a original 283. It looks to still have the rare 62 V8 bellhousing with the right hand hydraulic clutch.

Man, what a difference a little clean up makes. Nice to see it still have the barrel shaped shroud in place too.

Re: My first knee knocker in over 10 years

I did one on mine, straight 6, and it was a piece of cake. just holds on with 2 bolts and the rod pops off there. Your line there looks like it might give you some trouble.

Re: My first knee knocker in over 10 years

Thanks guys,Now down to business, picked up all the tuneup parts, need to install new manifolds and exhaust, drain the fuel tank, fix the horribly butchered wiring, do the brakes, master and slave cylinder and put a new tire and wheel combination on it. Sorry the Boyds just don't do it for me, I think stock rims and hubcaps would be the ticket.
