My 85 C20 "finally getting paint"

Hey yall, thought id show the progress on the truck. Had it for 4 years. Rebuilt the 350 with flat tops, vortec heads and a small cam. Added a 4L80e. Swapped out sliding back glass for solid. Got the ac blowin cold. Headers, true duals, painted the wheels, added limo tint but removed it. New bumpers, new chrome stick on trim, etc. 1ton springs up front, next mods include wider tires and a helper bag kit in the rear.

Just stripped it all down and brought it to the paint shop last friday. Bought all new trim for it, a new front bumper again, got new personalized plates, new fender emblems, new rubber. Hopefully truck will be back in another week? We'll see.

Adding pics in the next post

Where did you get your headlight bezels and bed corners at? Also, did you use Claytona's way for polishing the trim?

Re: My 85 C20 "finally getting paint"

Thanks, ive decided to also paint the ring around the bowtie red also and keep everything else polished. I polished up my stainless grille trim tonight and cleaned up the vent windows. Also, heres a few pics of the truck in primer with a "guide coat" on it. I hope he sends me a pic of the truck after the guide coat has been sanded i wanna see all the dings beforehand. Of course i dont know when these.pica were taken, he sent them to me this morning.

Re: My 85 C20 "finally getting paint"

I think theyll look awesome. I tried the red circle around the bowtie but it was too much. Here is the bulk of the stuff going on the truck. Still waiting on new license plates, emblems and fender lights. In the pic is new door handles, new wheel well trim, door rubber, window felt, feont and rear glass rubber with chrome strip, front bumper, seatbelt, chrome reciever insert, stainless 2" ball, stainless lock, new roll of chrome trim all around truck, polished stainless grill trim, chrome headlight bezels, stainless screws for the stainless drip rails, taillights and bed corner moldings. Im currently sanding and painting the black portion of my rear chrome bumper to repaint gloss, also in the pic is new wiper arms.
