Not really new but...
So long story short... I have been on this forum on and off for the last few years. At first, I had a 69 Chevy SWB which was great but was bought at a wrong time in my life and had to go... This was sad but I just couldn't stand to let it collect rust for a few years as we had to move and no longer had a garage. Thankfully, the guy who bought it drives the out off it ever since.
Now back to more recent years, Two kids and a 2 doors home garage later, I was searching for a 64-66 SWB or a suburban from the same time period. Over here, old trucks are quite rare and the good ones usually gets very expensive... Let's face it, we invented rust! Even if searching for a clean 64-66, I kept an eye open for anything C-10 and finally bought one this week! It's supposed to get home tomorrow and I can't wait! It's a 85 C-10 SWB imported from NC a few years ago. the guy I bought it from started to work on it but got divorced and needed money. It's an all metal, freshly painted from the frame up truck. It needs an engine and a transmission+ a new interior. I'll start a thread soon... The plan is: airbags, nice 20'' or 22''?, big brakes and I'm weighting the pros and cons of dropping in an LS engine... Voilą!
