How to go about this?

Well I ended up getting a new oil pressure gauge for my truck. And it seems that I'm going to have to cut a hole in the face of the old oil pressure gauge, in order to properly mount the new one.

How should I do that? I die grinder is overkill. And a dremel would take forever. But maybe it should take forever. So that its done right the first time. Is there an easy way?
