You can run CPP drop spindles. You will need to change out the ball joints because the Squarebody ball joints are bigger. Then you get some 1.25 rotors from a Squarebody at the parts store. You will need calipers also. If you can find a truck around the same year as yours that is 5 lugs pull the axles put them in yours. Get some new drums. Personally I would put 9" Ford housing ends on your rear and get new Axles from Moser

Re: Where to get 5 lug kit for my 70 c10
A front brake swap from a donor 71-80 gets you the parts you need for budget 6-to-5 lug swapping. Aftermarket drop spindles & 73-80 brake parts from a parts store is a little more $$ but everything is new 5-lug stuff.
For the rear, I always recommend swapping in new, fresh axles w/zero wear over spending the $$ re-drilling the pattern into your 44yr old parts. Moser makes 5-lug axles that swap right in & then you just need brake drums for a 71-72. I know Lou recommended the Ford housing ends above but they aren't necessary if you just want the bolt pattern change (a good idea/upgrade though) ECE makes a 6-to-5 lug swap package but you pay for the packaging vs DIY.

Re: Where to get 5 lug kit for my 70 c10
So another question what if I just buy everything for a 71-72 c10 out of a Lmc catalog or classic industries etc will everything work for my 70 in order to get the 5 lug and disc brakes like I want

Good deal!! I'm not getting the entire truck, just the front and rear assemblies. What should I grab off the front. Do I need to grab the steering box too or can I use mine for now and do a PS upgrade later? I'm grabbing the brake booster and proportioning valve as well |

Steering components? or just get a rebuild kit from the parts store for a square body?

Re: Where to get 5 lug kit for my 70 c10
I just did the rear swap on my 69. I ordered the kit from speedway. Cheapest I found it and had it in 3 days. Was surprised to find out it was a cpp kit. Took about an hour to make the swap.
