Dana 44

Need to replace the ball joints and axle seals on my front dana 44.
1. Any tips or suggestions greatly appreciated.
2. Best place to get the parts from.
3. Does anyone know of a good how to video.

Swamp Rat documented much of this repair in his build thread - Rat Repair

You will need a couple special sockets. One for the spindles the other to torque the upper ball joint seats. If you do a search, Dana-Spicer has the service manual for this axle online.

I would highly recommend using spicer ball joints. Every other brand I tried had a short lifespan.
