Top banana

I ordered a bunch of parts from top banana. Is it just me or are they. The slowest vendor out there? Over a week and I don't know if my order has shipped, still no tracking. I'm frustrated, I guess I'm just used to summit that seems to have the stuff on my door step with in a day or two of order.

I buy from Top Banana a lot but since they are 1 hour up the road I always pick up.

Re: Top banana

I'm also pretty close to them, but actually haven't been there yet. My trucks really haven't needed any parts lately, but I would just suggest to call.

Although I did call there two or three times in the past year or two and would always get their answer machine.

Leave a message if necessary.

Keep us posted on it.

Re: Top banana

My dad ordered from top banana and they took his money. They didnt give him a tracking number or anything, he got concerned cause he ordered bed strips for his stepside but they never charged him for the truck frieght shipping, just normal shipping cost. I think he called and email with no responses but his parts came in about a week. I think they could work on their customer service with tracking and such but so far it seems the parts just come to the door in about a week.

Re: Top banana

Can you give us some other vendor names Tim Christian. Seems the quality of parts are good, just the vendor that most don't want to deal with.

Patience... all my stuff showed up between 1 week and almost 4 weeks after sale.

My next sheetmetal needs will be met by GMC Pauls or Classic Heartbeat though.

Re: Top banana

I made the mistake of ordering from them. They would not return phone calls or emails. When I finally got my left and right cab patch panels...they showed up like this.

Now I am new to body work...but I'm assuming these panels shouldn't be all dinged up and in one part, actually missing part of the metal.

Re: Top banana

I have an order from Top Banana also. placed July 17th. so today is one day over a month. I have sent numerous emails. I called and left messages with my number to call back. I feel taken. I will never again do business with them.

Re: Top banana

Turns out those panels I posted above look the same from other vendors. Regardless Top Banana refused to answer my phone calls or respond to my emails. It also took them a long time to ship (weeks).

Re: Top banana

I ordered from them around 2 months ago and got parts within a week. I don't understand why some people have issues and some don't. You'd think everyone would get the same customer service.

I'll take a wild guess that delays are due to items back ordered.

Re: Top banana

Met them at a show a while back. Called them and it was interesting to say the least. I will not use them either.

Re: Top banana

I wanted to chime in on this post. I did after all get my parts after a long period of time. just showed up. no follow up calls and or emails, and the web site still said processing order with the box sitting on my porch. WTF? Anyways! So now I have this big KeyPart's rocker panel kit, inner and outer panels, a-piller patches... I dont know if any of you have seen the outer rocker panel from keyparts? looks like the Die that pressed them out was made from concrete! the whole length is scared with heavy lines.

Re: Top banana

You can have the best products in the world but if the customer service is not there, neither is my money. I have never been able to order from top banana because I can never get a hold of anybody to order from.

Re: Top banana

Ordered passenger rocker on February 29th, part arrived March 7th. Total cost including shipping was 33.00. So apparently that website still works for purchasing.

The Good: Cheap pricing, shipping speed was competitive.

The Bad: No confirmation, part was loose/moving around in the box.
