Radiator problems for bbc

I just got my 454 in my 1969 c10 an went to put my 4 core radiator out of a 87 suburban in it an it sticks up several inches past the radiator support.I have a smaller radiator that has tranny cooler on the end but I don't know if I'll have cooling issues with it.

Re: Radiator problems for bbc

Years ago I was in a similar situation where I needed my truck running by the following morning to go to work in, and all I had was a later model radiator that was too tall.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

Not only did I get to drive it to work, but I drove it for many years afterwards just like that. Note mine was a 2 core, but the principal is the same for your four core, just space up the upper saddles some way.
