PVC and brake booster plumbing, is this a bad setup?
Just read that pcv should have its own vacuum, is this a bad setup? All parts seem to function correctly but a haven't taken it out and given it h3ll. I just took it out for a couple lazy drives.

It's the other way around... the booster should have it's own vacuum line so it gets full vacuum from either the intake manifold or the carb. The PCV can be T'd in to another vacuum source.

Correct. you can have very small things connected with the booster but a PVC is not one of them. Things like tranny modulator, distributor vac advance are ok since they don't draw any flow away from the booster.

Re: PVC and brake booster plumbing, is this a bad setup?
Fitz, when you say the brakes might not work, do you mean that the boost will not work, making the effort to brake be that of manual, non-assisted brakes? Or do you mean a complete failure of the brakes? I ask because it has been on my mind to be rid of my brake booster.

Re: PVC and brake booster plumbing, is this a bad setup?
The little check valve assembly is supposed to act a check valve for vacuum and hold the vacuum in the booster more or less at the highest point available. It is the surprise factor that Fitz is speaking of. The brakes will operate but if vacuum or is insufficient it will feel like manual brakes. The surprise will feel like you're trying to push a cinder block thru the floor boards when it should be smooth and nice. The port that is pictured is where I tapped from for my 250 as well, thinking 1/2 NPT"???
