By this time tomorrow
...I hope to be the new owner of a patina-fied '70 C10! so I figured it was time to come out in the open and say hello from Louisiana. The target truck is in extreme north Georgia, looks like about a 10 hour drive one way. You do things like this when you are retired and have more time than money.
Folks seem to like pics: And in case anyone is interested, during my search I came across a '69 CST with original bucket seats in NC. I called on it, needed more work than I want, but I told the owner I would plug it here, so here's the ad: http://greensboro.craigslist.org/cto/4480155663.html Hope all goes well tomorrow! |

Re: By this time tomorrow
Hey thanks much portrodder. Unfortunately the blue C10 didn't live up to it's billing in my opinion so after that long drive on Friday I ended up passing on it. However I knew of another one, a '70 CST up in Tennessee, so I extended my stay by a day and drove up from Atlanta to Tennessee yesterday to take a look. I ended up putting a deposit on it and I'm going back again next week to retrieve it.
Here's a photo from the seller's craigslist ad... it's a nice truck but, like the first one, I don't think it quite lives up to the photos, but I'm still tickled to have been able to buy it. I'll post more photos from my viewing of it yesterday a little later on, the family and I are about to run out for dinner. Again, thanks for the welcome! I'll be coming through Monroe at least two more times next week, so keep an eye out. |

More photos from yesterday. I tried to show blemishes as well as highlights, plus the SPID.

Oh yeah, and one more. This pic is actually to show another of the seller's project trucks. The Heck was a cemetery truck and has a dump in addition to the 4wd. Pretty cool.

Re: By this time tomorrow
Thanks a lot Tony. I got her home to Louisiana, titled and tagged, and as of today, a state inspection. Happy to be here.

FYI Smudge... every original Body part on that C-10 1970 was stamped in Indianapolis IN., Except the hood and the two front fenders. I am a retiree from that plant. My father worked in Door Assembly as a metal finisher in 1970.
