Anyone swapped master cylinders for one from a newer truck?
Im curious if anyone one here has swapped the factory master cylinder for one of the units from a newer chevy truck. The reason Im asking is purely because my Motive power brake bleeder is a pain in the ass to get to seal properly to the factory master cylinder. If I can find a newer master cylinder with the plastic tank that has a screw on cap, I can get a screw on adapter for the bleeder that will seal properly and make much less mess when bleeding the brakes. Im going to be doing the rear disc conversion shortly and thought this a good time to look into swapping out the master cylinder since I have to brake into the system anyway.
Thanks for the help! |

Re: Anyone swapped master cylinders for one from a newer truck?
I bought a bracket from a member here (captnfab I believe) to run a 90s master cyl and booster. However it won't solve your problem that your talking about because it still uses the flat clip on style. You might check with him and see if he offered something else to go to the newer truck boosters/ master cyl. Like say 2000+
