Great Community

Story for ya'll..

Yesterday I went to a local car show. I was really hoping to see one of our trucks but was bummed when there wasnt one.. I was about done looking around when I saw a 68 C20 (The same truck I'm currently restoring) sitting outside the show lot. I decided I would circle around a few more times, hoping to see the owner when he came out to his truck. After a few passes, I saw a guy with his kids walk over to it and put all of the kids in the bed so they could jump (Figured this was my guy).. I walked over and told asked a few questions about it. It was his father-in-law's old truck that he had sold to a friend. I guess after a few phone calls they found that it was stored in a barn. They went and picked it up and bought it a week ago. Everything was all original in it and it was in great shape! (No rocker rust or anything) It was cool to share all of the knowledge that I have picked up from all of you guys. He had a bunch of questions about what his truck was (Camper special or just straight C20). We went through his SPID and found out all about his truck. I showed him our fun cowl panel clog issue and how to clean it and a few other tricks. He seemed pretty grateful and excited about his and my project. We exchanged numbers and I told him to join the forum so I could see his progress as he is trying to fix it up a bit. He has already replaced the rims and tires on it!

Thought you might find this as cool as I did..

Thanks for reading!

P.S. I was an idiot and didnt get a picture. I'll work on getting one!
