250 I6/TH350/3:42 and a 2bbl???? anyone?
Seeking wisdom from the masses. 250 with a Th350 and 342 rear , headers and need ideas on carburation. Im running a Holly 390 4bbl on the burb and thinking budget for the truck biild. Found the 32/36 webber on Langdons site with the adapter , linkage etc for a stock manifold. Waste of time and $ or is ot a decent set up?
My other option is $1000 more and consists of swapping the clifford and 4bbl off the burb for the truck then spending the mulah for the dual 38 set up. Reality sets in and I could sell the burbs 250 and put the eztra grand into an LS swap so I dont see the 38s in my cards. Anyone swap to a webber and like it? Tell me more please.

Hay Jon,
I have the Weber set up from Langdons I was going to put on my 56, you know the one with the Texaco on the doors. But I've decided to use the 56 on my new chassis instead of the 57 GMC Napco. So if your interested, It even has the air filter assembly with an extra filter and the base insulator with gaskets.

Hey Glen!
Had you ran the set up or one like it on anything of your trucks before? Im torn as to which induction system to run. Im sure the webber is better than the stock 1bbl! Pm me with what you want for it. Thanks

Re: 250 I6/TH350/3:42 and a 2bbl???? anyone?
I had a Holley Projection set up for the burb and a 4.3 vortec stan alone set up but sold them both. I keep telling myself that a F.A.S.T. system would be cool on the 6 and then swap the Holley 390 and a new Clifford intake onto the 50 truck, but at $1800 all in for the FAST set up, again.....I could do an LS swap for a little more. I did the full tilt build on the 6 in the burb, paid all the money etc to have something when you pop the hood, not many others have and keeping it is my first priority since Im already in it what an LS would cost. It just kills the wallet to think that I could have done an LS swap twice for what I have in it now and with the FAST system. Maybe a sponsorship letter to F.A.S.T. for some inliner research on a rig that is driven daily may pursuede them to send me a Xmas present
ps....I love the banana guy lol

Hey Newfish...................I say quit being so cheap and pick these up
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHEVROLET-GM...17f40d&vxp=mtr and a set of side suckers. If I knew what i was doing, that's what would be on my 292 build. I just don't think there's anyway to hook up the tranny cable. |

HAHAHa! That would be cool for the track, but don't know about around town and fabb'ing a fulcrum for the TV cable on the 700r4 would be challenging.
Clifford repop's the Kay Sissle assembly here for 1/2 the money: http://www.cliffordperformance.net/M...gory_Code=C250

Well, the EFI parts could be sourced from stock vehicles for much less. But it would require more work...

Found a webber 32/36 set up. My next question is for those who have run the I6 with a TH350 and what gear ratio did you like. I need to get going on a rear end and dont want to make the wrong decision. All I have ever had were 5 speeds and 700r4's....this whole 3 speed thing is new to me lol , but seriously it is!

Hay Jon, I sent you a PM.
Check out http://www.gearvendors.com/hrgm3s.html and http://www.gearvendors.com/hrgm4s.html for a chart showing the gear ratios for the TH350 and 700R4 with different rear gears to give you an idea about what rear gear would work for you, just ignore the G.V. ratios. If your planning on towing, stick with the 700R4 and lower rear gears. Or for no towing the 350 with higher gears would work ... sorta.
