A/C and Ashtray help..

Hopeing someone can help me out here with a couple of questions that I have.. My A/C is working fine but the two hoses that connect to the condenser and the compressor one of the hoses is really hot to the touch and the other is not I am wondering if this is normal or is there something that needs to be repaired?? My other question is how do I install an ashtray?? I tried removing one from the salvage yard with no results.. So I bought one on eBay and need help on how to install it..

If your a/c is working don't fool with it. One line will be hot (removing heat) and the other will be colder. All is good.

Re: A/C and Ashtray help..

to remove the ash tray, remove the glovebox, the airduct to the drivers side lower vent, then remove the box that connects the vents to the air box. take out screws in ash tray, close it , push it in the dash, turn it and pull it out. don't forget to unplug the lighter

Re: A/C and Ashtray help..

I have searched for previous post but could not find one that says if I can splice the cig. Lighter into the light that turns on when the door opens.. Light is located underneath the glove box.. Or does anyone know of an easier way I can get my cig. Lighter to work? What other wire can I splice into..

I'm pretty sure the Cig lighter circuit (hot and ground) goes directly back to the fuse box. Due to the amp load I would not splice it into any other existing circuit.
