68 hood trim

Anyone running re pop hood lip trim? The piece I got was counterpart and in the middle of the trim (center of hood) there is a fairly good size dent. I would say a little smaller then a dime. I went back to where I bought it and every single one had the same problem. Assuming its normal and from the tooling are all repop hood lip trims like this? Anyone had better luck? Is the originals the same. Thanks.

Re: 68 hood trim

that counterpart stuff is garbage. I dont have an answer to your question but Im really disgusted with aftermarket stuff. None of the crap fits or is stamped correctly.
I paid $20 for a non fitting patch panel that is missing most of the body lines. I would gladly have paid $40 or even $60 for one that fits.
