fleetside tailgate question
ok,i have a 84 short wide bed.i am trying to mount the tailgate i just painted and the trunnions are different,anyone know the break down for differences on the hinges for this body style tailgate??.the gate i took off didnt have removable hinges on the gate and the new one i have the hinge part on the tailgate is removable with (2) 3/8 bolts on each side...im sure this should be an easy fix,just want to know what year i want to pick up at the wrecking yard. any help would be appreciated.

thanks, that was the info i needed...looks like someone installed an early gate at one time on mine,i just have to get the 81 up hardware to match my newer style(correct era) gate i just painted.thanks again,Rick
