Edelbrock vacuum advance port
Question on a 1406 --- 600cfm carb.
On two front vacumm ports --- the one on the drivers side has good suction BUT the one on the passenger side has nothing. The one with nothing is the vacuum line I have connected to the HEI distributor. Is the the carb supposed to show suction or the distributor ? If it's the carb, and it shows nothing -- how do I fix that ?

the pass side is ported vacumn, & wont show on a vac guage till the throttle is opened slightly......it also drops under full throttle, like the manifold vac fitting on the dr side. Your HEI was setup to run ported vacumn, & if you are running stock or very mild you may want to leave it that way. If you do a "recurve" & adjustable vac can on the dist, i would hook the dist to manifold vacumn. good luck, crazyL
