drum to disk conversion
Good evening,
I hate to keep beating the bush on this, but I would like some more clarification on this conversion. Like Ive mentioned before, I found a 71 GMC donor truck and gutted the whole front end out of it. I then blasted and painted it, replaced the ball joints, bearings, seals, rotors, calipers, etc.. It is new and ready to go. I have since been in a bad motorcycle accident, which has destroyed my right leg and am unable to perform this swap. Can I use the upper and lower control arms and spindles and get this done, rather than doing the whole front cross member? Or can I put the new ball joints in my existing 68 control arms, and go that route? I just want to get the truck off jack stands, and out of the garage to cruze around in. I will do the rest later when Im feeling better. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: drum to disk conversion
Use everything from the a-arms out,... plus the 71-72 steering linkage from the donor truck.

Re: drum to disk conversion
I've never been a fan of swapping out the entire crossmember,...
