Fuel filter

I'm looking for a fuel filter for my truck & was thinking of running the Fram HPG1 filter.. Anyone ran this 1 or can y'all recommend a filter that has replaceable element .. Don't wanna run a cheesy glass 1 on the generic plastic 1's they carry in the store.. Thanks

Re: Fuel filter

Don't have one on my Roadster, but I do run that filter on a 2-liter Porsche 911. Never had any problem with them.

Re: Fuel filter

Are you still running a Q-jet? If so, there's a replaceable filter in the top housing.

Re: Fuel filter

I gotta ask, why do want to run a 119..00 (from Summitt) Fuel Filter? I understand what you mean about the plastic or glass ones but what about a metal one like in the pic.

Re: Fuel filter

Most builders will not use rubber lines and hose clamps on top of a hot engine. Thats a big fire waiting to happen.

I'm going all steel braided and AN fittings so I might as well use a nice filter also.. That filter is only $60 and the replacement cartridges are around $15
