No bumpstops from the factory? Step inside Keith Seymore

I picked up a 78 GMC a couple of days ago which appears to be mostly original with no evidence of ever being lowered. While crawling around under the truck I noticed it has no bumpstops front or rear, it doesn't even have the old rivet holes on the frame or remnants on the lower control arm of it being cut off. I'm curious if any one else has ever seen one without them or if there is a bumpstop delete option.

I'm not aware of a "bumpstop" delete option. Truck appears to be a 1/2 ton 2wd short box from the photo?

Could be a manufacturing mistake but that seems like it would only affect one corner (ie, not both control arms AND both sides in the rear).

Can you post some pics?

It wasn't a concern just a curiosity, I've never seen one without them.

You can drill the spot welds out. They leave almost no evidence behind on the A arm.
And when tried the pre runner thing with my '77 and you stuff a 32" dueler into the fender... It's all bad.

But never seen one missing all 4.
