Engine Swap 350 TBI to 454 carb "Down Shift Relay"

Hey guys I am a new member and this is my first post. I have almost completed my engine swap. The truck is a 1988 Chevy Crew Cab 1 ton R series, so it has the old square body style dual tanks. I have removed my ECM so I will have to rewire the fuel pump relay and I have figured that out. My question is in the relay that bolts right next to it on the fire wall. From what I have found this is the Down Shift Relay. Am I correct? Do I need to put a manual relay on it? I am putting in a ratchet shifter so do I even need to worry about it since I can easily shift down a gear if I need to? Any and all help is appreciated or if anyone can tell me more problems that I might run into. Thanks for all the help.
