New Member - first time Chevy build
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hi and introduce my truck (I know that nobody wants to hear about me... ) I bought a 1974-ish K25 short bed plow truck. I was told a lot of things and after hearing how well the engine ran, I knew the guy was a stand up guy and I bought the truck...oops I found it had a cracked flexplate, 2 bolts holding the engine and tranny together, a warn starter, no rear brakes, no floors to speak of, no plow wiring or controls, no working instruments and was comprised of parts from at least 3 different model years. I call it FrankenChevy. So far, I took care of the flexplate, tranny bolts, starter, rear brakes, rebuilt the front driveshaft, put on a fresh pair of tires and I've got a new instrument cluster with a tach and an in cab wiring harness coming from the states and I plan on getting new controls and plugs to wire up the plow this weekend. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions, so far most of those questions have been answered by exploring these forums already, but they'll always be more questions. Thanks Robert 1974-ish K25 4wd GM350 TH400 Auto NP208 - single speed...(still need to work this out) GM12 front GM14 rear |
