What weight and type of diff oil goes in a 2wd 2005 chevy silverado 1500?

Truck Guy, I'm sure it is the same as for my 2006. From the owners manual "SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Axle Lubricant meeting GM specification 9986115".

can't remember exactly but I thought it was 1/4" below the fill hole, but on the gm heritage center website, it will show you all this information for future reference.
Rear Axle 8.6" - 2.15 quarts Rear Axle 9.5" - 2.75 quarts Rear Axle 9.76" - 3.00 quarts Rear Axle 10.5" - 2.75 quarts Rear Axle 11.5" - 3.17 quarts Here's the link: https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...erado-1500.pdf Starting at axle ID on page 24 and the Capacities are on page 28 Jack
