Question seat frame

On the aft. side of seat frame, the one that the padded seat goes in, there are [2] channels shaped like a hat, one on each side of frame. Does this hold the padded seat fwd or is this for something else. With my padded seat installed it sets fwd of the hat channels about 1 inch. Should my padded seat have something that locks into the channels or ??? The channels are shown in the FAM in sect. 1 on seats. 53 3100

Re: seat frame

are you talking about the back cushion or the bottom cushion that your butt sits on ?
Pictures would help.
The back has 2 v shaped "legs" that go into holes in the frame and 3 loops that go over the top tube and fasten with screws
The bottom slides in against the back and has 2 "c" shaped tabs at the front that fit over the tube at the front of the frame

Re: seat frame

Look in the FAM sect.1 page 2.00, you will see the [2] channels just below the seat back spring to frame strips, outb. on both sides. Iam talking about the bottom cushion.
