Cutting holes for power locks and window
OK Here's the situation. Have complete harness from firewall, also the harness to power windows and door locks. Between the door and cab is the rubber tube that the wires goes through. My cab, above the top kick and by the door frame and the doors DO NOT HAVE THE HOLES CUT IN. My question is where do I cut the holes in the cab, doors? And what size are each one. I notice on the cab I have 4 dimples on the cab where the doors close in a vertical line.
Any help would be great. John

Well here it is 2018, got the engine in and it runs, now I need to get the exhaust system in so I can adjust the lifters, to loud right now. Got the exhaust on now I am waiting for the break parts to come in. |

Re: Cutting holes for power locks and window
The four demples are where the holes go. The outer demples are the screw holes for the little rubber conduit the wires go through. Where the inner two demples are, drill a hole in each one with about a 1 inch hole saw. Then you will have two overlapping holes. Take a grinder and make them into an oval. I had to do this when I put power windows in my truck. I think I have pictures somewhere in my build thread from when did this. I had to take the doors off to drill the holes. Also, I remember that i had to drill a little bit at an angle because the edge of the fender is in the way, but with the demple to help you can keep the drill from sliding too much. The hole doesn't have to be perfect because it is covered up by the rubber grommet/conduit thing.
