i dont know how old you are but when i was a kid ( im 38) there was a toy Revell model of a 72 chevy that was suppoused to look like a semi and the nose of that truck was gorgeous, kinda replicating a kenworth rig.. id love to replicate that. I understand that there is a kit you can buy to make the tilt nose but nothing radical i believe this was discussed on paint and body forum but youre gonna have to search it by hand it was within the last sixty days tho

the easiest way to go would be http://www.usbodysource.com/ my longhorn has a steel tilt clip, that was a winter project....simple, no hydraulics or fancy latches http://community.webshots.com/user/hotrodhorn

(crazy longhorn) is there any way you could show me how you did the hinges and location of them? I want to use the original steel front end like you did. Also how are you going to do the inner fenders? Any help would be great. Thanks JIM

I dont have any shots of the hinges on the longhorn, but do need to upgrade pics, as the ones in webshots are several yrs old. I plan to burn a couple rolls of film(gotta do it the old way....no digital cam). There have been a few upgrades on the truck, from a richmond trans, to dual elect fans, exhaust system & several odds & ends since the last pics. If you dig through Webshots, you will see a little on bracework, & rad support. As far as inner fenders, they werent a big concern ,as my truck is just a fair weather driver. If i can help , I will, but the pics will probably tell the story better than I can.....hopefully I will have time later this season to get a few more pics . crazyL

Thanks for your input. Right now it is just an Idea. I blew my motor up so I thought it would give me something to do while I am saving to buy a new engine. Thanks again JIM
