91 Gmc Vandura Rockwood

This will be my daily driver once we get a few things fixed.
It has been sitting since 2008. Through a battery in it and it fired right up. Has no brakes due to rusted lines. It needs a right rear axle shaft and bearing and when we drove it 4 miles back to the shop the heater core gave up.

Here are the last pics I have so far. The body looks pretty solid with only a few spots of service rust on the body. The underside looks fairly clean as well. The plan is to get it road worthy on a very limited budget.

Have given thought to one of these myself. Be so nice on a whim to say,
"Lets go camping"
Would make a heck of a sleeper (in both sense of the word)
Twin turbo LS!

There isn't enough room for one turbo, and I agree it would be an awesome sleeper!

Re: 91 Gmc Vandura Rockwood

It only took me about ten hours total to get the heater core replaced. Fixed the rusted out brake lines. Just need to get the rear axle fixed and it should be ready to go down the road.

Re: 91 Gmc Vandura Rockwood

It's ready to hit the road as soon as I have sold my truck. I know it isn't as cool as the sunbeam or the 944 but it is what I can afford at this moment in my life. I would much rather put the 50 3100 on the road instead but it is going to be a long time before there is enough money to work on it!
