Where can i find the right parts to lower my truck?
I have a 71' GMC C-2500 3/4 ton. i want to lower it and i can find the rear shackles and such to lower the back but i can not find dropped spindles for the front. is this because it has large disk brakes on the front or cause it is a 8 bolt wheel set-up. i have done a lot of looking but just have not found the right place. does anyone know where i can get parts to do this without changing out the whole front end? i don't want to drop it more than 2 to 3 inchs.

If you're only dropping 2 or 3 inches, you may want to just use the dropped springs.

I was telling a friend about my buying the 2' drop springs for the front and he said , the way to go is drop spindle cuz it would not
affect geometry and just putting the 2' springs would not be the way to go. Any suggestions out there?

Spindles are usually a better way to go but they sometimes require larger wheels they did on my 95 suburban. The stock wheels hit the control arms. Lowered coils are fine. Coils can even be cut if you don't over heat them. If you heat them too much they loose their temper and sag.

the only thing i did to lower my front end on my c-20 was put in c-10 3" drop springs in. nothing else. i have no handleing problems on anything like that. So, it worked out for me.
