The last bazooka I had sounded real tinny, and didnt thump at all. How does that sound back in the corner like that?
Also, what size Amp are you running with it??

I have two bazooka 6 1/2 bass tubes behind my seat right now and i think they suck. They have a delayed "thump" because of the tube design and they tend to blend all the bass together so it sounds kind of blurry. I'm moving back up to 2 12" subs. Dont know what kind yet, but i too was thinking of mounting some under the seat. To expand on DanoDMano's questions, could i fit a 12 under each side of my bench seat in my '89 GMC Sierra? TIA, DK

Sorry I dont have any pictures of the box or anything the amp is a Dragster DA-302 30wx2RMS doesnt sound like much compared to other amps but its an amazing amp I can play for at least 3 hours before the amp even gets warm. I basically took the dimensions that came with my rockford sub and built a box to fit under the seat of my truck only took me about a quarter sheet of MDF too. but if i remember right the dimensions were something like 8 inches high by 17 inches long and about 14 inches wide im not positive tho

I almost forgot to mention that if you havent already bought a sub stear clear from Rockford there quality went down hill since they sold out to future shop and Visions the old stuff is good but new stuff is garbage. Go with Audiobahn for a good quality sub for reasnable pricing

If you want to go the 10" route, when I did my research I found that 4.5" probably would have been the ideal depth for under the seat at stock height. I couldn't get anything that shallow through any of my suppliers, so I went with 2 visonik 10's. I had to raise the seat 3/4" in the front and 1 1/8" in the back.
I would say it would be easy to find some good quality 8's with a depth 4.5 or less. Finding good quality 10"s 4.5" or less is tough.

I have a Kicker free-air 10 underneath passenger side of my OEM full foam seat. No need to raise seat! The enclosure looks like a box, but is open on the back and just sits on the carpet. No way to get it out without removing the seat! I run a Crossfire 100x4 bridged 200x1 into the sub and 100x2 into Kicker separates. This is the simplest, best sounding system I have ever had.

I have an infinity reference 10 behind my seat powered by about 250 watts. The Basslink that you are looking at is an AWESOME package for a Bazooka style sub, it will never fit under your seat though and it might even be a pain to get behind the seat.

Wish
Now dont you all wish you had suburbans!! The last thing I am worried about is where I am going to put some subs! I think I could hide a dead body or 2 in the rear quarter panels alone!

That looks great Mike C, I have my amp in the same spot. Is your seat the stock bench? You didnt have to raise the seat? Does the
seat actually hit the top of the woofer? That is what I would like to do, but just aint sure how it will sound, or if it will rub on the bottom of the set? My wife is small so I wont have to worry about her sitting over there, but I may have an occasional hefty person over there.... :p

The seat as I said is the full foam original. It does not hit with noone in the seat, but it is slightly muffled with a passenger of any mass! I am VERY pleased with how it sounds. Under the drivers side I have an Alpine 6 disc changer.
