Need some help with a 63 Grill.
My 63 Burb came with a 64- 5–6 grill. Does anyone know if the brackets that attached to the grill and to the front of the truck are the same across the years?
This piece It doesn't look like it to me but before I start tearing the old grill apart I thought I would ask.

Re: Need some help with a 63 Grill.
Not sure if the backing plates will work.....60-61 had dual headlights...so different buckets entirely. 62 was single but had 3 bolt mount.... 63 was a 4 bolt per side mount and pretty sure 64-66 were 3. I know the headlight buckets and internal hardware will work though.

I think it will be fine. My 66 had a 1962 grill on it when I got it and I had no problem changing it.. Worst case you could make a template and drill new holes.

Re: Need some help with a 63 Grill.
FYI the original 63 supports are stamped SAE-63. I got a set off a guy in Northern Michigan. With all the 63 grills you see that are crushed and of course missing at least 1 headlight bezel, someone must have the supports to sell.

Mike, a 1963 grille "bracket" actualy called a Support and is riveted to the grille is one year only. It was made to fit the 63 grille and does not fit any other year.

Ask Rene the "C10 King" he always puts the 63 in his trucks. So I'm sure he has a clue to give you an educated answer. I'm looking forward to meeting you in A****er this year and seeing your Burb.
