1971 Wire harness, fuse block

Can any help me with the fuse block, my 1971 Chevrolet C-10 has a wire and conector hanging under the fuse block. Is it for the dome/courtesy lights? does anyone have any pictures of the fuse block. also where does the gas tank wire plug into? directly to the fuse block? Just purchased new wire, the old one was gone before i bought it. Need some help.
Thanks
Dan

This pic shows where the fuel guage plugs in. Also if the hanging wires are orange and white they are the dome light circuit. Welcome to the board.

Since you are new, you can download a manual for your wiring harness here:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=558016

Use the Chassis Service Manual link and scroll towards the back once you get it stored on your hard drive(400+ pages). The really cool part is that the wire colors will most likely match what you are looking at in your truck (most likely if someone hasn't completely jacked the whole entire thing up).
