passenger door won't open....

seems all was going too well after almost finishing my 69 4X4. I have a problem with the pass. door. looking thru the access opening on the inside of the door.......it's unlocked and the opening meckinisem is unlatching.....but it still won't open. I think the door closed too far ( no bumpers or gaskets installed yet) Any ideas will be most appricated.

I assume that the mechanism is not rusty, so the suggestion that I would have is to get some help to push on the door. If the mechanism is releasing than the door must be stuck so with one person inside pushing with their feet and one person outside pulling, (and pressing the door release button in), the door should come open.

I have never seen the need to cut a door to get it to open.

Mine did the same thing and all it needed was a swift kick for the inside

If you tug on it really hard it will open. Mine does the same thing. A swift kick will work too.
