Re: Bear Claw latches
They are the large ones and yes all the linkage was fabed up to use the stock door handle and lock.

Re: Bear Claw latches
Seems like a lot of work to replace a set of latches that typically work fine. What's the point? Honestly, not being a jerk.
The install looks very nice BTW. I know how much work this can be and your metal finishing is very good. |

Re: Bear Claw latches
I think the point is safety, with an ulterior motive of making something awesome in the process. Subtlety rocks - most folks won't even notice this when you're done. That's why I like it so much.
That is some beautiful fab work - thanks for sharing. |

Re: Bear Claw latches
I agree with jocko, if you know anything about fab. work this is really amazing. To get the latches in is one thing but to get the stock rods to operate the inner and outer handles and the lock is really hard to do. If you ask what's the point, then you really wouldn't understand.

Re: Bear Claw latches
Does this set up stay locked when you shut the door or will the lock still pop up? That alone would make me want to do this.

Re: Bear Claw latches
Safety? Is there a "door flies open randomly" problem with these trucks I don't know about?
