Manual Cross Member help
So I'm still hammering away on the 1972 Jimmy. I cut two rust free truck doors down today to replace my crusty Jimmy doors and started on some mechanical stuff. I converted from automatic to manual and noticed the cross member lines up but the two holes for the transmission mounts are off almost a whole hole. I'm using the auto transmission cross member and suspect the manual one is different. Con anyone confirm this and if it is different I'll be ion the market for one if anyone has one.
Thanks Dave |

Re: Manual Cross Member help
originally the standard transmissions had a bellhousing cross member and no rear trans member. Probably just redrill holes.

Re: Manual Cross Member help
I thought of that but they are oblong for the mounts underneath and I really don't want to drill the foot on the adapter. It's close but the spacing on the foot is slightly narrower than the crossmember. May be able to drill it in the worst case scenario.
