Re: Replacement seats???

Subscribed.

I'm in the market for a seat option. My project currently has none. I don't like the look of the 99-06 chevy truck seats people put in.

I've looked at other low back seats, but all would require custom mounts/tracks etc.

Re: Replacement seats???

I am running a very similar seat to the second. The Scat Pro 90 Lowback is quite similar in shape & appearance.

Scat also offers either a 1 piece frame or individual to mount them either way. They also of course have sliders as well.

See my build thread for pics.

Re: Replacement seats???

I got these last year and I'm happy with them. I purchased them in black vinyl. They even had a special back then for free shipping.

Re: Replacement seats???

I like those Jay

And really the price looks like a lot but when you price materials just for a recover I think I'm leaning towards one like Jays

Are you short tall heavy thin? How well do you fit?

Re: Replacement seats???

I was going to put in a 88-98 seat in my truck (due to my height) until I scored my buddy buckets.

I'm normally not a huge fan of modern seats in our trucks but I really like those Jay. How are they for room? Comfortable?

I'm 6'1" around 200lbs and I like them. The seat is firm and does seem to sit about a half inch higher than my stock seats but that could have been due to the springs and cushions in my old seat being worn out. Drove 4 hrs on these seats and felt great. Drove 45 minutes on my stock seats which caused my back to be sore.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Replacement seats???

Jay is that seat 3 pieces bolted to the frame that is made for the truck that they supply?

I just ordered some material samples that is a less expensive option than the other place with links just wish it wasn't in california so I wouldn't have to pay tax

Yes, I got the frame from them also. The frame is specifically for the 67-72 year trucks. Also, the seats are three separate pieces that bolt to the frame. The 2 outside seats are adjustable.

Re: Replacement seats???

Thanks Jayschevy, I sent off for some sample vinyl. They also carry the same seat in my link above for quite a bit less, but I like the looks of the seat you installed. Thanks

What is the quality like on your seats? I am looking at changing out mine and I really like the ones you have. I also just requested a material sample from them.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Thought I'd post a photo of the before and after interior. The before was really good for original but not very comfortable. Thanks Jayschevy your seat installation sold me.

Thanks, I scanned through your build thread, looks like you're about ready for seats. That will be a nice truck when you're done.

CastIron, they bolted right in. Much more comfortable than the stock seat.

So what was the turnaround time? And exactly which seat did you go with?

Re: Replacement seats???

This is the seat I bought:
http://shop4seats.com/truck-seats/40...uck-seats.html
It took about 6 weeks to get them. They came with a different console than what is in the ad. I wasn't sure at first but the cup holders and storage is nice.
