Rear Chrome step side bumpers

I've looked for an original chevy bumper for my step side in the junk yards and CL, but haven't found any that were in good condition. I'll probably just order one from LMC or Classic Parts. Has anybody here gotten a chrome rear bumper form either of these two? I'm just wondering if they are quality pieces or cheesy repro. junk. Anyone know what the difference is between the 38-9874 Chrome Bumper Premium, and the 38-9274 Chrome Bumper from LMC. Is the Premium bumper worth the extra $40. It's not like it will be going on a show truck. Does anyone have any better options or suggestions?

Re: Rear Chrome step side bumpers

I don't have experience in ordering bumpers from LMC, but to the best of my knowledge the difference between their regular and premium bumpers is in the chrome plating with the premium bumpers being triple-plated and the regular bumpers having a lesser plating process. If what they advertise is accurate, the premium bumpers should be more rust-resistant and last longer before peeling etc. For the $40, I'd say go premium.

My two cents.

I bought the premium one from LMC and after two years it has held up just fine. No rust what so ever.
