Anyone have pics of C/20s on 16.5x6 Steelies?
I'm interested in buying a set, 16.5/6ers, off a member and want to see how they look mounted on tires and on the truck.
Also, what size tires would you recommend? I know 16.5 is the starting point, just need to know the rest of the geometry I did find Firestone TransForce, but they're a bit high $$ right now and the reviews were 50/50. Opinions appreciated. The idea is to primarily use for gatherings or whenever the urge strikes to go OG. Not to use daily or with work loads.

Re: Anyone have pics of C/20s on 16.5x6 Steelies?
Below is a picture of my truck with 8.75x16.5s on the front and 12x16.5s on the back. The tires shown are bias ply. The front wheels are 6" wide. I think the rears are 9.75" wide. 9.50x16.5s would fill the wheel opening better than the 8.75s. Although I know 9.50s would work on the 6" wheels, I don't know if a 6" wide wheel is an approved width. Not sure what width wheels the factory supplied with the 9.50s. Does anyone know?
The second picture is an 8.75" TransForce tire mounted on a 6" wheel. Most people switch to 16" wheels if they want the original appearance for better tire selection. Last edited by FirstOwner69; 10-13-2014 at 12:43 PM. |

Thank you for the references TwoTone72s and FirstOwner69. The comparisons are exactly what I was looking for and within the first few responses. Much appreciation.
I see now how much space the two tire sizes fill in the wheel wells. I got a set of C/20 caps awhile back and have been searching for the proper rim and tire size to glorify the jewelry....know what I mean?
