Also I know that the early jeep grande cheeroke steering shaft is a great replacement shaft and it get rid of the flexible link assymbly. It bolts on and look real good.

A 72 c10 would have everything you need.
73-87 c10 would have the disc brakes, but the rear won't be bolt in.

I know about the swap overs from other c10 there just aren't any I can find close to me for parts. But I started this thread mainly so everyone could post parts from other vehical that they have had great success with. I heard a strong van brake boosters would work but haven't seen any pictures of them installed or what was required to be used.

C4 front end stuff is popular, weld in kits for the front suspension is available. Most any car or truck with an ls based engine. Seats from about anything will fit.

Some parts are good for swapping, but I'd buy correct new replacement parts sooner than adapt used parts made for something else.

Re: what is the best junk yard parts that are interchangeable!!!!!
I understand new parts are good but also if u can find a used part that isn't wreck less if u will then by almeans save a few bucks for something else along ur build.
I found out a few more goods: -Ofcourse we all know about the under the bed blazer tank. -I already read a thread on here about using a door hing for the side maker light so it will open and then u can fill through the light hole. -late model motor homes column are a direct swap. Off the top of my head it was 80's but I will look up the years again. -just incase u didn't know the 69 drive shaft spline end fit directly into a 4L60E tranny I would like to know what year vehicles the seat tracks are good from and what seats can be used so that the back sits lower than the window. |
