3/4 ton shortbed?

Did they ever make from factory shortbed service trucks with 3/4 ton suspension?

Re: 3/4 ton shortbed?

No factory produced 3/4 ton shortbed trucks. If 3/4 ton with 8 lug suspension, either the front crossmember and rear axle have been changed or perhaps the frame has been shortened and a short bed box or cut down long bed box was added. Look to the frame under the bed for frame cuts. Can be done but needs to be done correctly with a " L " shaped or stepped cut and gusset plates on both sides of the cut for strength. Look to the SIPD on the glove box if original to the truck or to the VIN of the truck.

1/2 ton : C10 or K10 if 4WD. 3/4 ton: C20 or K20 if 4WD

Hope that helps. and welcome from just down the road south of you.

Re: 3/4 ton shortbed?

Well im thinking the suspension has been changed. but this guy i bought it from(havent picked it up yet) says it came from the factory like this. im guessing its long bed. havent got a chance to measure. and i believe the orginal cab is gone from what he told me. That helped a lot! its always cool to see people from Kansas on here.

The Sunflower State is well-represented here. I'm in Kansas City area, but there's a good number down in your neck of the woods.

Then you know from the start to ignore anything he tells you about the truck that you do not or cannot personally confirm.
