C20 Energy Suspension Body Mounts - reuse parts??

I have the Energy Suspension 3-4107 Urethane Body Mount kit for my '67 C20.

http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...sion/17015.pdf

The instructions say to cut-down and re-use the rear two "cab sleeves" (the bushings with the flange on top). Really? I have to use my rusty, cruddy, old bushings with all the other nice new hardware?

Anybody find a good replacement for those?

The prothane kit also doesn't provide those. Must be expensive to provide the heat treated sleeves?

I guess. Or maybe it's an odd-ball size. I'll have to measure them up and then poke around on the McMaster-Carr site...

Re: C20 Energy Suspension Body Mounts - reuse parts??

Thread revival.

I am still in the process of replacing all of my cab bushings. I have the Energy Suspension Urethane Body Mount kit for my '70 C20 Longhorn. I have to replace the middle bolts and spacers. I measured what was left of the center spacers and came up with 2.25 x 7/8". Does that sound correct? Also the instructions say to reuse the 9/16"x6" bolts that were in the center position. I have to replace them but 6" looks too long from the measurements I took. I came up with 5". Does that sound correct?

Also what is the correct front bolt size and type for the bushings?

Thanks in advance for the help.

my daughter asked me to put this in.

Re: C20 Energy Suspension Body Mounts - reuse parts??

I was able to find 2 9'16"x5" UNC Grade 5 bolts at a nearby fastener store. Is grade 5 strong enough? I didn't want to get the wrong strength. The guy jokingly told me the minimum was 1000 pieces. Then when he looked, he had only 2 left.

Grade 5 is fine. Most suspension bolts are grade 5.

I dunno about the bushing sizes. Too busy battling winter to work on the truck. You're out ahead of me at this point.
