Battery keeps draining after gauge cluster out?

Hey Guys - It looks like after my gauge cluster removal my battery keeps on draining. While this may be too premature to know since I haven't really goten the chance to run the truck for a long time to charge the battery up again...but which wires do I need to make sure are in to avoid it from draining?

Thanks

disconnect the battery prior to pulling the cluster out. when you pull the headlight switch out it will keep the headlights on and drain the battery

Lift one battery cable (either one) and put a test lamp between the terminal and the cable. If the test lamp lights up, you have a current draw which will drain the battery. Start pulling fuses, one at a time, until you find the one that causes the test lamp to go dark. That's the bad circuit, and you can then troubleshoot that circuit.

A great tip, but as a side note, a lot of the accessories and features of our trucks are powered off of the "IGN UNFUSED" which, as you guessed, you can't remove the fuse for. So if that's the cause, it's likely going to have to be a process of elimination.

I wonder if that IGN UNFUSED source tap can be removed from the distribution block and checked there - anyone know?

If you disconnect the battery, it can't drain.
