I am selling the parts off this truck to install our new parts to show people how well they fit. If you would like to stop by my shop and see our new parts installed you are more than welcome. I have a truck from every year with our parts installed. We are right off exit 417 in Dandridge.

Re: Rust Free 1967 CST Parts!!!

First off, would you ship an inner fender in a wooden crate?

Second, would you take $125.00 for the passenger side inner fender?

Re: Rust Free 1967 CST Parts!!!

Well..... I stopped out there today and and it wasn't what I expected at all........I responded to the Craigslist ad and made an appointment to go out and look at the tailgate. They didn't know it was Grumpy old man standing in front of them. Yet they allowed me to roam around their shop and look at whatever I wanted to , They were nice ,personable Young (compared to me ) and enthusiastic about their new shop . after quite some time wandering around and checking out their current projects and their shop/equipment I looked at some of the replacement parts and even bought a set of inner/outer rockers and cab corners for a very reasonable price ( I took up their time I felt like I should buy something ) I didn't buy the tailgate but it was rust free along with the rest of the parts and the A/C cab was pretty good . We talked and swapped shop stories for almost 2 hours and I have to say they were nice people and I hope it goes well for them .... All that being said myself personally I'll stick to original parts (when I can ) I'm just not a fan of replacement fenders doors and beds They sound tinny to me when you tap on them compared to "real" 47 year old steel. Would I sell original repairable sheet metal to replace it with after market new and shiny ? NO, I wouldn't ,But as a display piece for my business I might .Would I buy replacement after market parts or original replacements if repairs weren't an option? Well we each have to decide that for ourselves.

It was very nice meeting you today and swapping stories with you. I had no idea who you were until I read this post If you hang around me enough I might change your mind about aftermarket parts

Re: Rust Free 1967 CST Parts!!!

Let me know when you want a new shop foreman,I really know how to crack the whip and get things done on schedule !Always pay your help on Thursdays and tell them if your not on time Friday don't bother coming back on Monday ! you would be amazed on how much better your employees are paying their bills and keeping their families happy ! And on time every day . I've seen employees kill a going business fast ! Never settle with lacadaisical employees just because they "SHOW UP"! it's your dream and your money , never socialize with employees .And if your lucky you'll sell at the right moment just like I did , it takes decades !
