I love the red interior. Did he leave the lap belts in and added shoulder belt?

Re: Pictures don't do it justice...

Um, yeah, I GUESS it's kinda nice...
LOVE the red int.
Interesting that the owner had a nice new SPID made up but apparently reproduced the original SPID because it lists the black vinyl interior. I like that he did that. Oh, and by the way, that truck is gorgeous. Found myself saying "that's exactly how I'd like to do it" (EDIT: If I had time, money, oh, and the truck to start with...) with every picture, so, clearly, he has great taste! (ha)

Re: Pictures don't do it justice...

The story behind this truck (as it was told to me) is that Jerry Brown of the Truck Shop in Crossville TN built this as his personal truck... not to sell. Well... he sold it. The new owner chromed a few things... and changed a few others and enjoyed the truck until his passing. His widow sold it to it's present owner (my buddy). My Buddy has spoken to Jerry Brown to confirm that this was one of his builds. My friend has no idea what it started out as... it coulda been a 6cyl bare bones truck for all he knows. I didn't ask him if he'd asked Jerry Brown what it started out as... but regardless, Mr Brown doesn't build any junk

I've owned several of these trucks... and seen a lot more! This is truly one of the nicest I've ever seen, and pictures do not begin to do it justice.

Re: Pictures don't do it justice...

Other than some of the obvious items and the changes made it is a very nice looking pickup. I'd say it is a 7.5 out of 10.

That is amazing. I could never own a truck like it though, because I don't have a climate-controlled museum to keep it in. Couldn't drive it because it wouldn't be that immaculate again, ever. And I darn sure couldn't throw anything -- anything at all -- into that bed. Magnificent truck alright!

Re: Pictures don't do it justice...

This is his wife's Chevelle... you can see him in the background to the left of her car. We were at a cruise-in held in someones yard/field about 20 miles from his home a couple weekends ago (thus the dust under his pickup now). He drives it more then I would... most people would just push it in and out of an enclosed trailer... he does have a 2 post lift in his garage... so yes... sometimes he'll dust the underside off.

Not being sarcastic at all. My 7.5 out of a 10 would be for a full blown show truck. I really like it and I think it is a very nice looking pickup. I wouldn't kick it out of my garage, that's for sure.

Re: Pictures don't do it justice...

Jerry has been around these trucks as long as they've been around. For a timeless (and easy enough to change) handsome look with a flair of factory sportiness he prefers rallye wheels. They have been making these trucks look so sharp for so long it ain't funny. A set of stock wheel covers with narrow whitewalls would sure look great,IMO. I don't think I've ever seen him use those, though. He also doesn't lower his trucks. I'm not saying a lowered truck never left his shop, but what he does is prime highly optioned SWBs that are nicer than factory and not far from stock. Most are built, then offered... and bought! He has built trucks for people and those could very according to customer's desires. His main man Jason is adding in some of his own influence now, too.

If you really believe it's a 7.5, show us what you feel is a 10,.... that truck is too good for the likes of me...
